Major Research Areas:InGaN quantum well and quantum dot LEDs, high power nitride based HEMTs, and Ferroelectronics III-V wide bandgap semiconductor devices: We are focusing on device modeling of Al/GaN HFETs, which are applied in high power and high frequency area. II-VI and III-V wide bandgap optoelectronic devices: Device modeling of quantum well/dot light emitting diodes, Analysis of carrier transport, emission and absorption properties. Smart sensor FETs: We are interested in studying the junction properties of ferroelectric/semiconductor devices, which can be applied in memory, optical modular, waveguide, and sensor areas. (1D-DDCC) One Dimensional Poisson, Drift-diffsuion, and Schrodinger Solver: This solver Can solve the Poisson-Schrodinger equation, drift-diffusion equation, self-consistently. (2D-DDCC) Two Dimensional, Poisson, Drif-diffsuion, Schrodinger, and thermal Solver & Ray Tracing Method: This solver Can solve the two dimensional Poisson, drift-diffusion, and thermal equation self-consistently. Then solve the 2D Schrodinger Equation, and Monte Carlo Ray Tracing techniques. (3D-DDCC) Three Dimensional FEM Poisson, Drif-diffsuion, and thermal Solver + 3D Schroinger Equation solver: The 3D mesh is Based on gmsh
