$totallayer required setting tag the layer number of the device. this layer number needs to be set in the beginning of input file. most parameters setting has the same layer number as this. except the doping setting and the background setting.

Parameter Explanation

  • L : length of this layer. (\AA)
  • Eg : bandgap of this layer. (eV)
  • bandoffset : ΔEc/ΔEg
  • ε : relative permittivity of this layer. (\epsilon_0)
  • me_ver : vertical effective mass of electron. (m_0)
  • me_par : parallel effective mass of electron. (m_0)
  • mh_hh : heavy hole effective mass of hole. (m_0)
  • mh_lh : light hole effective mass of hole. (m_0)
  • mue : the electron mobility. (cm^{2}V^{-1}s^{-1})
